| Leah joined the band in October 2004.
Leah started her musical career on cello, but soon gave that up after her parents threatened to remove the strings. She then studied saxophone during her school days under Brian Blake('s Barmy Army) in Hastings, where she played in all the local youth jazz bands. She then went to university in Durham where she studied French and German at BA level and Medieval French at MA level. She was president of the university big band for two years and secretary for one, and during her year abroad played lead alto in the Detmold Big Band in Germany.
