Doug has been a professional musician since 1978 after
studying at
Leeds College of Music and has combined trombone playing with music
copying, arranging, orchestrating and teaching
Currently he works mainly as a music copyist/orchestrator for film,
T.V. musical theatre, recording and opera projects.

Film: Troy, Cold Mountain, Big Fish, Love Actually, The
Human Stain. Phantom Of The Opera, Sylvia, Gangs Of New York
T.V.: Dalziel and Pascoe, Ultimate Force, Cracker
Other: Jerry Springer The Opera, Charlotte Church, Paul
McCartney and has recently finished work on "Ça Ira"
- an operatic history of the French Revolution written by ex Pink Floyd
frontman Roger Waters which is due for release by Sony Classical later
this year.
Doug currently teaches trombone at Lancing College and Brighton College as well as continuing to work as a freelance trombone player throughout the South-East playing anything that pays good money!
