8/10 piece band

Straight no chaser is also available to hire in a smaller format function band. All of the fun (well most of it anyway) but in a more cost effective and space efficient package!

This group evolved from client's demands for the big band sound, but in a format that could fit smalller venues (and budgets!)

This "mini big band" plays with an 8 - 10 piece lineup. The lineup starts at: vocalist, 4 brass, and rhythm seciton. We then offer options of additional vocalist and Guitar to take it up to the full 10 piece size band.

We have edited a great deal of our big band repertoire to make it work with this smaller format, so we can still capture much of the famous swing sound of the 40's and 50's. However in addition this, the smaller group is much more versatile so we are also able to offer soul and funk sets in addition to our normal swing, jazz and latin repertoire.
